Curious Generalist • Research-Driven Writer • Lifelong Learner • Rock Hound
I am an authority on absolutely nothing—and I’m surprisingly comfortable with that. What I am is intensely curious. I have always been the person who wants to know why, where did that come from, who decided that, is that actually true, and inevitably, what happens if I keep digging?
I’m a lifelong learner, small-business owner, creative, researcher-by-inclination, and unapologetic jack-of-all-trades. My interests wander freely through herbs and traditional plant use, wellness, spirituality and metaphysics, history, folklore, nature, creativity, technology, geology, rocks and minerals, science, and whatever else happens to send one of my investigative squirrels racing down a new trail.
I don’t write from the position of an expert telling you what to believe. I write as someone willing to ask the question, do the homework, examine credible sources, explore different perspectives, and share what I find.
Sometimes research confirms what we thought we knew. Sometimes it complicates the story. And occasionally it sends us somewhere completely unexpected—which, frankly, is usually the interesting part.
Through my contributions to Tools to Heal Your World, my goal is not to hand readers conclusions. It is to offer information, context, history, questions, and resources that might encourage them to explore further and form thoughtful conclusions of their own.
Because I believe curiosity is a pretty powerful tool. And there is always something else worth learning. 🌿

Down the Rabbit Hole
Curiosity got the better of me.
Down the Rabbit Hole is where my curiosity gets to run loose. These pieces begin with a question, a claim, a rock, a plant, a bit of folklore, or some other irresistible mystery—and follow the research wherever it leads.
A Note from Cat
I approach the subjects I write about as a curious researcher and lifelong learner, not as a credentialed expert. My goal is to ask good questions, seek reliable sources, explore different perspectives, and share what I discover along the way.
