Moonology: Tuning into the invisible pull!!

By Jacqueline Soares

For centuries, deserts nomads, star-studiers and everyday folk have intuitively followed the Moon. Whether knowingly or unknowingly, humanity has used its silver glow to navigate the dark, map out the cycles of life, and stand in absolute amazement of its never-ending messages.

As we enter the last quarter of 2026, tuning into the upcoming lunar cycles is one of the wisest ways to manage the energetic, emotional, and physical shifts in our daily lives. From sleep disturbances and brain fog to heightened intuition and sudden bursts of vitality—the Moon affects it all.

To help us map out the rest of the year, we are looking at the beautiful Moonology Oracle Deck by Yasmin Boland, which is currently available for purchase locally at Crystal by the Sea, in Navarre, Fl. The deck works intimately with lunar phases to help us manifest new beginnings and gracefully release what no longer serves us. For this article, we will focus mainly on the foundational pillars: New Moon and Full Moon phases.

“Think of the invisible pull like a cosmic radio frequency. You can’t see the radio waves traveling through the air, but when you tune into the right station, the music plays perfectly. The Moon works the same way—it operates on a subtle energy frequency that affects our sleep, intuition, and stamina, waiting for us to tune in.”

The Cosmic Rules of Thumb

Before we dive into the specific forecasts for the final months of the year, keep these two basic lunar rules in mind:

  • Rule #1 (The Sign Matters): The astrological/house sign a moon falls into will heavily accentuate the cycle’s vibe. For example, Pisces Moon stirs deep emotions, an Aries Moon brings fiery momentum, and a Taurus Moon focuses on loyalty and grounding, a Gemini well it depends what personality side the Moon affects most, you God bless a true Gemini, etc.
  • Rule #2 (The Phase Dictates Action):
    • New Moon (Rest & Intention): Planting seeds which can be physically in the garden or seeds of intentions and embrace clean slates. This is a quiet supportive time to reset, calm the nervous system, and set fresh intentions.
    • Waxing Cycle (Build & Action): The moon grows brighter. Start moving on ideas, building momentum, and pushing forward. A nice visual is a seedling breaking ground. Reaching up towards the light.
  • Full Moon (Peak & Release): Maximum physical vitality, vivid dreams and emotional reactivity. It is a bright, revealing time to celebrate achievements and shed heavy burdens, forgiveness (of self or another), and letting go.
    • Waning Cycle (Harvest & Detox): The light fades. Energy turns inward, supporting reflection, gratitude, and physical detoxification.

Now, let us move forward into this next quarter’s New and Full Moon phases using Yasmin Boland’s Moonology Oracle Deck:

October:

  • New Moon is in Libra (Oct. 10th)- “A new romantic cycle begins”

Perfect for re-balancing relationships, fostering teamwork, and styling a harmonious home.

  • Full Moon in Taurus (Oct. 25/26th)- “Your dreams need a practical plan”

A peak moment to look at your personal finances, stability, and physical comfort.

The Vibe

As we step into October, collective energy shifts into a period of deep, intentional preparation. Before the holiday rush picks up speed, this month offers a sacred pause to clear the clutter and ground us. When we think of relationships, we often limit our focus to romantic partners or family members. However, relationships come in all sizes—including the connection to daily routines, physical belongings, and your immediate environment. October invites you to audit these connections and release what no longer serves your peace.

November:

  • New Moon in Scorpio (Nov. 9th)- “Work through your fears”

Intense, internal energy meant for shedding old shadows and undergoing profound personal transformation and letting go of what no longer serves you before the busy season peaks.

  • Full Moon in Gemini (Nov.24th)- “The answers you need are coming”

A highly communicative, revealing peak phase that brings clarity to a lingering question.

The Vibe

As holiday planning and family dynamics enter the picture, your nervous system can easily get overstimulated. This is the time of year when we need to “gift” ourselves healthy social boundaries. Give yourself permission to decide in advance which events you will joyfully attend and which ones you will politely skip (stage right!! We all have them.) To keep your energy grounded, make it a priority to move your body daily to release any underlying anxiety or stress before it has a chance to build up.

The Full Moon in Gemini assists in our holiday interactions. True communication is a two-way street, remembering listening with full intention of hearing another is the greatest gift of communication you can “gift” to yourself. Keep this powerful rule of thumb in mind: “It’s important to have more information before you say “no”. It’s even more important to have that information before you say “yes”. Gather the details, check in with your nervous system, and choose what aligns with your peace.

December:

  • New Moon in Sagittarius (Dec. 8/9TH)- “Luck is on your side”

A joyful, expansive restart. Excellent for setting adventurous goals for the upcoming new year.

  • Full Moon in Cancer (Supermoon) (Dec. 23/24TH)- “A personal issue reaches resolution”

Highly emotional and nurturing. Energy will center on the home, family, and deep inner healing.

 The Vibe

Moving forward, December’s Moons are asking you to consider setting some fresh “adventurous” intentions around travel, higher education, or shifting your world view. It is a potent time to release generational patterns and nurture your inner child. Because it falls right before Christmas Eve, its energy heavily emphasizes family, nesting, and closing out year-end reflections.

News alert: This month features a Supermoon! A supermoon acts like a cosmic amplifier. It physically pulls the moon closer to Earth and dramatically intensifies the emotional and psychological themes of whichever sign it occupies.

I’m writing this article focusing on the last quarter of the year during September.  I’ll leave you with a bit of thoughts for September:

  • New Moon in Virgo (Sep 10th/11th) | “A time to give rather than take”
The ultimate grounding reset. Perfect for organizing your space, establishing fresh physical boundaries, and initiating healthy new routines.
  • Full Moon in Aries (Sep 26th) | “A fiery climax approaches”
A high-energy, passionate peak that demands personal courage, stepping into your power, and letting go of old frustrations.

The Vibe

September brings the perfect opportunity to utilize Virgo’s love for an organized: creative, work, and mental space—with an extra boost of Aries energy to get things done just in time for the holiday season.

While Virgo energy is typically analytical, organized, and health-conscious, Aries brings a fast, fiery energy that doesn’t always wait for the perfect moment. Aries will hand you the torch and then challenge you to boldly go where you have not gone before, burning away anything blocking your path.

Together, these two moons assist us in getting our thoughts, personal spaces, and health in order, helping to clear out the old and set up better routines for the fall and winter months ahead.

Bonus Energy: Snuggled right in between these moons on September 22nd is the Autumn/Fall Equinox (when the sun crosses the equator, making day and night equal across the globe), adding an extra bit of magical zing to the month!

Protect your Peace

The Moon’s invisible pull is always working—whether we are paying attention or not. As we close out 2026, choose to ride the cosmic waves instead of fighting the current. Rest when the sky goes dark, speak your truth when the light peaks, and gather the details before you commit your precious energy. Your peace is worth protecting, your intentions are worth planting, and the cosmos is entirely on your side. Happy tracking!
